The shell of our new shelter, with plumbing and wiring in place, is now complete – it is really heartening to see the phoenix rising from the ashes of our deadly fire.

It has taken a long time to get this far – past planning, organizational, and funding obstacles. But we are now three-quarters of the way to reopening.

We still have a long way to go until we can proceed further with construction – we now need to raise money for up-to-code dog kennels and outside runs, plus banks of cat cages. We are dependent on the generosity of supporters.
