Completion of interior electrical work at the animal shelter
We’re thrilled to announce that we have substantially completed the interior electrical work in the animal shelter.
Moreover, earlier this year, our Treasurer identified a way to access the funding necessary to complete this work, and our amazing electricians finished it up the week of 10/20/2025.
Before they started, the only lighting we had on the kennel side was from strung work lights.

The electricians pulled all the over-ceiling cabling, mounted the lights, and tied them into the panel. They also installed emergency exit lighting and signs, and completed the installation of the switches and sensors needed to make all work.

In the animal shelter, the kennel side of the building has lighting zones for each side. A handful of lights stay on overnight to provide limited illumination. The system includes emergency lighting and exit signs.
Additionally, all the switches and panel tie-ins needed to integrate the system are installed. This ensures the lighting controls operate cohesively across the kennel area. Staff can verify operation during rounds. The layout supports safe egress, easier maintenance, and clear visibility at night.

We’re excited to take this big step in the new shelter construction. Your donation through PayPal or GiveButter below supports our continuing operation and the maintenance, equipment, and services needed to move us forward.
