Shelters in Massachusetts are at crisis levels and additional capacity is desperately needed!

Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals is constructing a new, no-kill dog and cat shelter to serve central Massachusetts. When finished, we’ll care for up to 34 dogs and 40 cats.

Your tax deductable contribution to our 501(c)3 organization supports our mission to provide these no-kill services.

We have made significant progress but need your help to finish the job!

  • The building foundation is in place and the steel building is installed
  • The sprinker system is ready for final inspection
  • The interior walls are up and mostly just need paint
  • The HVAC is substantially installed
  • The electrical and plumbing infrastructure are substantially installed

To complete our new shelter, we need your help!

  • Your contribution helps us maintain and sustain the existing property, including things like:
    • Heat, electric, mortgage, and upkeep for the administrative building
    • Certain fees, taxes, and overhead costs like IRS and Commonwealth filings, form 990 preparation, etc
  • It also supports the new shelter construction for things like:
    • The new shelter requires a new septic systems
    • We need to finish the flooring, electrical, bathroom fixtures, and some HVAC punchlist
    • We need to paint the interior walls
    • We need to outfit the shelter with kennels and supplies
  • We are 100% volunteer, no one associated with Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals receives a salary or other compensation. Your donation goes right to funding those items necessary to bring our no-kill shelter to fruition.

Support Sweetpea Friends of Rutland Animals today! Your tax-deductable contribution in any amount keeps us moving forward!
