Gretchen was adopted to Christine, who had previously adopted Magic from Poundhounds, a local rescue organization. She contacted us to let us know how Gretchen was settling in. Gretchen is transformed. The bundle of dejected misery that we saw when she arrived with us has turned into a totally different dog:

Gretchen-4 Here is Gretchen with Magic. Gretchen is doing wonderfully.  She's settling in nicely and is already getting used to our household routine.  She was peeing inside the house but that seems to be over now that she knows she will be taken outside. Magic and Gretchen have had their territorial moments but they're getting along a lot better than I thought they would.  She's pretty much stayed away from my cats but occasionally I've had to stop her from chasing.  She's really interested in the rabbits and guinea pigs but once she's told "no" she lays down and keeps her distance.
Gretchen is a very smart and lovable dog and we're very happy to have her be a part of our family.  My kids are really enjoying her playfulness.  She loves her tennis ball and rawhide bones.  Gretchen wants Magic to play with her but so far no luck there.  She certainly is a puppy brain! Gretchen looked like a totally new dog when I brought her home from Petco.  She had a full grooming and a teeth brushing.  She smelled so nice with her pumpkin spice cologne and looked very snazzy with her Halloween scrunchy around her neck.  I told Petco that they could take Gretchen off the Sweetpea bulletin board because I adopted her.  Petco was happy and customers were congratulating me and saying what a beautiful dog Gretchen was.  I even received a Pectco coupon book worth $350.00 of savings because of adopting Gretchen.
