Saturday, April 29th was a gorgeous day for the FOURTH ANNUAL DOG WALK..
There was a choice between the 1 mile or the 3 mile walk, through pleasant wooded trails in Rutland State Park.. Humans and canines were treated to a tasty barbeque lunch and treats (respectively!).. A raffle was held which included a variety of donated items from individuals and local merchants.. Rounding off the day, awards were presented to canine participants and their humans.. An added surprise was the 70th birthday celebration for Dick Clark, president of Sweet Pea FOR Animals and the animal control officer for the Town of Rutland..A tasty chocolate cake was shared by all (humans that is - not canines).
See how much we raised and how much fun we had! .
