Curly is a special needs dog. He needs an understanding home because he is absolutely petrified of the vet -- he struggles and goes beserk when they try to treat him. He will need a lot of understanding to get over this. So we have removed him from our Petfinder listings and are leaving him on the website to see if anyone can help with him.

Curly has so many breeds in him we just call him a good old fashioned mutt! He appears to have Akita the way he carries his tail and he talks but that could also be husky I guess you'll just have to come see this boy for yourself.  Curly is about 6 yrs old and was surrendered when his owner decided that he no longer wanted a dog.  Curly would do best in a home with no other pets or small children as he was always kept away from them before and is trying his best to fit in to a different life style. Won't you give this handsome boy a place to call home? You'll have a faithful friend for life!

Sweetpea is always looking for good homes to adopt our special friends -- all pets are up to date on shots unless they have just arrived at our shelter. We ask that people interested in adopting a Sweetpea pet call Dick Clark (contact details below) to set up an appointment to meet with the pet and to file an application.

Our adoption fees are $225 for dogs and $110 for cats.

Please remember that bringing a new pet into your home can be a big transition and must be thought out carefully. Younger dogs may require additional training. ALL dogs require adjustment and understanding after a stay in rescue. They will be fearful at first and may need reassurance and comfort when they get into trouble for not understanding the rules of their new home.
